[News] 2PM’s Taecyeon added to the cast of Kim Tae Hee’s Japanese drama
Fuji TV has just announced that 2PM's Taecyeon is going to become a regular on their upcoming Sunday drama "Boku to Star no 99 Nichi".
"Boku to Star no 99 Nichi" is starring Japanese actor Nishijima Hidetoshi and South Korean actress Kim Tae Hee as the two main characters. Earlier this month, it was already announced that the young actress Sakuraba Nanami was added to the cast, making Taecyeon the fourth known regular on the show.
The story is about a South Korean superstar named 'Yuna' (Kim Tae Hee), who happens to fall in love with her Japanese bodyguard 'Kohei' (Nishijima).
Taecyeon plays a mysterious young man called 'Teson', who seems to share some kind of secret with Yuna that could have a big influence on her relationship with her Kohei. Teson used to live towards a certain dream, but he had to give up on this dream due to some unknown events in his past. However, it is Kohei's niece 'Momo' (Sakuraba) that makes him pursue his dream once again. We will have to find out what kind of events led them to cross each other's paths, but it could be related to Momo's growing jealousy towards the relationship between Yuna and Kohei.

Taecyeon already played a couple of roles in Korean dramas, but it will be his first regular role on a Japanese drama.
The producer of the drama commented, "We needed someone who can by mysterious and make his presence felt by others at the same time. Outside of his role, Taecyeon is a very polite and bright person, who always manages to create a cheerful atmosphere at the set. He is going to bring a breath of fresh air to the Japanese drama scene."
Taecyeon commented, "It's my first role in a Japanese drama and I'm really happy to be able to work together with such a wonderful cast and such an amazing staff. I will exert myself to the best of my abilities in order to polish my acting as much as I can."
"Boku to Star no 99 Nichi" will premier on Fuji TV on October 23rd and air every Sunday at 9 pm.

[News] Photo of 2PM’s Taecyeon in school revealed
Photos of 2PM's Taecyeon in school have been leaked onto the internet.
In the photos, Taec can be seen walking amongst his fellow classmates at school. Although he is dressed down in jeans and a simple T-shirt, his casual outfit still couldn't hide his perfectly chiseled body.
One netizen excitedly wrote on an online community board, "Taecyeon is sitting behind me in class right now. He's really handsome!"
Others responded with, "Jealous! I wish I went to the same school", "He looks good even in candid shots!", and "How can you even focus on the lecture with him sitting behind you?"
Taecyeon has been spotted at school in the past, and is receiving attention for regularly attending class despite his busy schedule.

[News] Plastic surgeons rank the best looking male and female idols
For the first time ever, the number of idol groups promoting in the market will hit 100 by the end of the year. Their popularity is often determined by their fans, but what do the professionals in the industry think of them?
E-Daily recently brought together 30 vocal trainers, 27 choreographers, and 18 plastic surgeons to rank the idols according to vocal talent, dancing, and looks. Check out who they ranked as the top in terms of look below!
In the male group category, 2PM came out on top with six votes, while Super Junior's Choi Siwon topped the male idol member category with five votes.
On 2PM, director Kim Jun Sung of ID Cosmetics explained, "They have the most balanced looks. They have very clear and masculine features like sharp nose lines."
TVXQ and Big Bang each earned two votes, coming in at a tie in third place. Won Jin Sung stated, "TVXQ has small faces with unique features and have looks that are very appealing to the public. As for Big Bang, they have masculine face lines and know where their strengths and weaknesses lie in, which shows through their fashion sense."
On Choi Siwon topping individual member rankings, Park Sang Hoon revealed, "Super Junior's average age has now entered their late 20's, but the more they age, the more masculine they're becoming."
2PM's Nichkhun and Taecyeon each earned three points, Nichkhun for his "youthful face and proportional body" and Taecyeon for his "looks that combine the best of both Western and Eastern features."
As for the females, SNSD came out on top with a total of nine points in the group category. One director from Won Jin Plastic Surgery stated, "They match a variety of looks from girlish to sexy and even cute."
T-ara placed second with four points, and f(x) and KARA tied for third with two points each.
"T-ara matches any concept while f(x) has every image needed like sexy, cute, and androgynous," they continued. Director Seo Young Tae stated, "Overall, the members of KARA have egg-shaped faces with big eyes. Starting with goddess Park Gyuri to Goo Hara, who resembles Amuro Namie, Kang Jiyoung's beauty has also been shining lately."
In the individual member category, SNSD's YoonA placed first with a total of seven points. "YoonA has a feminine, smooth face, with clear eyes, nose, and lips."
Yuri and T-ara's Jiyeon tied in second with three points each, with Yuri having a "friendly image that's calm and not too extravagant," while Jiyeon for her "charming and gentle eyes."

[News] 2PM Taecyeon poses with Bumblebee & Optimus Prime
Recently a picture of 2PM's Taecyeon posing with Transformers characters, Bumblebee and Optimus Prime has been revealed.
On September 15th, the photo was posted on a online community message board under the title, "Taecyeon takes a commemorative photo with Bumblebee".
In the picture, Taecyeon is found standing between Bumblebee and Optimus Prime, while holding a V-pose. His glasses and natural hair style makes him look like a handsome college student.
This picture is also currently Taecyeon's Twitter profile picture and was taken at the Coex Megabox in Seoul.
Fans commented, "He's been voice mimicking Optimus Prime lately and now a commemorative photo with Bumblebee", "Looks like I'm moving next door to Coex” and "He looks a little tired".
Meanwhile, 2PM and miss A have been selected as the Korean Tourist Service's foreign commercial models.

[News] 2PM to tour Japan in December
K-pop group 2PM will give concerts across four Japanese cities in December.
The band will kick off the tour with concerts on Dec. 5 and 6 in Osaka-jo Hall, Osaka and will continue to give shows at Gaishi Hall, Nagoya, Dec. 8 and Saitama Super Arena on Dec. 14. The tour will wrap up at Marine Messe, Fukuoka, Dec. 17.
The five concerts are expected to draw an estimated 70,000 fans.
The six-member boy band attracted some 25,000 fans in the neighboring Asian country for its first showcase last December. It has been touring extensively across other countries in the region, and is currently giving concerts across Taiwan, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and China for the “2PM Hands Up Asia Tour."
Members of 2PM also recently donated some of their personal items for a fundraising project to help needy African children. The event, titled “Rainbow Project," will be held from Sept. 17 to 25 at J-Bug Museum located by Ttukseom, Seoul.
Other “hallyu" or Korean Wave stars such as actors Bae Yong-joon, Jun Ji-hyun (aka. Jianna Jun), Daniel Henney, Zo In-sung, Jang Hyuk and Sohn Ye-jin; singer/actor Rain; and girl group Miss A have also donated items.

[News] 2AM & 2PM Body Training Secrets Revealed
Known for their buff and jacked bodies, 2PM and 2AM work out secrets will be revealed through SBS TV show.
On September 14, KBS 2TV "Living Show" will cover a segment on 2AM and 2PM's trainer, Hwang Jin Ho discussing the secrets and know hows to the boys' bodies.
Trainer Hwang revealed various habits and history about the boys: "Ok Taec Yeon works out at five times the speed and amount than a normal person would, and he concentrates on working out his chest area." "The first celebrity I got to work with was 2AM's Chang Min and then Jo Kwon quickly after. Jo Kwon wanted to overcome his naturally thin body by starting to exercise."
As a plus, on the same episode the secret to Nickhun's body, a commodity many fan girls drool over, and how 2AM's Seul Ong and Jin Woon keep in shape is discussed. Trainer Hwang is also going to show his very own Sugar Zero diet.
Fans and those interested in 2AM and 2PM's body secrets can tune in on September 14 at 6:05PM on KBS 2TV on "Living Show."
