[Cyworld] 2PM Junsu's message to his father - "I love you. I'm sorry, Dad"

Before I knew it it’s a new month since my dad and I have separated.
I don’t know why it was so hectic
I didn’t have the time to be sad because I was so busy
Thinking of it now it all seems like a dream
It still seems like a dream
My dad’s work, house, papers, etc.
Are all my responsibility for the first time
Its a new task for me that I’ve never done
It seems harder because of this.
If I think about the funeral now,
to those who helped me feel less lonely
I want to thank you so much I could cry
I felt great warmth in this world.
Although I thought to myself that I need to become stronger
Every minute I feel a huge emptiness.
The pain that follows me makes my chest hurt.
Even today I wonder why my dad had to leave so suddenly,
and I’m sending away my dreams.
We lived separately for about 8 years
I have so much regret now
I didn’t know that this would be the time you had.
The world is cold but warm. And warm but cold.

Also, there is a lot of you inside of me that I didn’t know
I think I can grasp it now, I guess the time we have
ends right here.
The phrase that it becomes important once you lose it
There are still a lot of traces of you
I can’t forget your voice
that would tell people that I am your first son.
The times you would come quietly and massage my shoulders
The times when you taught me boxing and soccer
The field that we would run around together. The sound of our breath.
A few days before you passed, you were worried about my knee surgery
You didn’t want to worry others so you didn’t tell them and went to the hospital
I can’t see that you anymore, I can’t hear you, I can’t touch you
This hurts so much
I didn’t get to tell you I love you
I didn’t get to make a single memory with you as an adult.

I love you
I’m sorry
Dad.

Please rest well now.

[News] Block B Answers to 2PM Nichkhun, "We Are Deeply Sorry For Being a Disappointment to Our Country's People."

Boy group Block B has been under fire regarding their behaviour during an interview they gave in Thailand.

During the interview portion, the members displayed a questionable and immature behaviour and also made some controversial comments in regards to the recent floods in Thailand. When asked about the floods they answered, "I know about it. I was pretending I didn't but I do."

They also added, "We wish Thai people would heal the damage in their hearts through financial donations, and all we have is money."

But they apologized and are currently reflecting upon their mistakes. They issued an official apology through their agency and also posted a video on Youtube where they were shown bowing to the viewers and fans. Leader Zico also shaved his head to show remorse for his actions as the leader of the group.

Block B's agency also reported that member P.O was hospitalized for shock after he found out about a petition asking for their suicide.

However, there was no trace of the said petition online and fans speculated that the petition was used as a strategy from Block B's agency to attract sympathy.

In regards to this complex situation, Block B's Zico was recently quoted saying, "We're deeply sorry and we regret what we did. We are reflecting upon our actions."

Block B's words deeply touched 2PM's Thai member Nichkhun whose reaction on Twitter was, "As a Thai person I feel offended by those who speak about the Thailand floods without thinking. Also instead of coming to Thailand and acting mindlessly, please respect the country’s manners, and only act in a proper way." 2PM members Chansung and Junho also tweeted about the incident.

Block B recently appeared on KBS 2TV's "Entertainment Weekly". On the February 25 broadcast of "Entertainment Weekly," Block B members gave an interview where they confessed their mistakes and also showed that they were seriously reflecting on themselves.

When asked about how they felt about 2PM Nickchun's piece of advice, Zico commented, "What Nichkhun sunbae said was the truth. We understood that what we did was a big mistake. What we did didn't include and damage ourselves only but Korea's people as a whole. We also understood that our actions damaged the reputation of K-Pop singers."

They also added, "As Korean singers we truly feel sorry for having been a disappointment and for having brought shame to our country's people and our fans. We're deeply regretting our actions and are reflecting upon them."

Don't you think the time has come for Block B to be forgiven?

[News] Forbes Korea ranks the ‘Top 40 Celebrities’ of Korea

In celebration of their 9th year of establishment, Forbes Korea has reported this year’s list of the top 40 ‘Power Celebrities’, and Girls’ Generation has topped the list for the second year in a row.

‘Celebrity’ refers to an individual who is widely known by the masses, and Forbes takes 100 of these celebrities and ranks them based on income, influence, fame, and professionalism.

This format is the same that Forbes in the United States uses for their ‘Celebrity 100' list, and the list is reported on an annual basis.

Girls’ Generation claimed the top two spots under the categories of most articles published, the highest number of television advertisements, TV appearances, and more. Additionally, the #1 celebrity most wanted by broadcasting companies is none other than Girls’ Generation, and the girls shot 36 television advertisements last year alone, and their album ‘The Boys‘ released late last year has sold over 380,000 copies.

The interesting thing to note about this year’s list is that 10 of the top 20 celebrities are idol singers. The reason why these idols have made the list is because they have played a huge part in spreading K-pop awareness all over the globe. Flash mobs from New York, Los Angeles, London, Paris, and more began requesting performances from their favorite K-pop artists in their home countries, and cover-dance teams emulating K-pop choreographies have grown in number.

The only celebrities from last year’s list who made it within the top 10 this year are Olympic Gold medalist figure skater Kim Yuna, actor/singer Lee Seung Gi, and Manchester United soccer player Park Ji Sung. Of all the celebrities, Kim Yuna has had the most media influence.

The list of Top 20 is as follows :

1.) Girls’ Generation
2.) Big Bang
3.) IU
4.) KARA
5.) Kim Yuna (World Champion Figure Skater & Olympic Gold Medalist)
6.) Lee Seung Gi (Actor / Singer)
7.) Park Ji Sung (Midfielder for Manchester United & former Captain of Korean National Soccer Team)
8.) Kim Tae Hee (Actress / Model)

[News] JYPE responds to Nichkhun’s controversial Thai CF

Some controversy has sparked up around a CF that 2PM's Nichkhun filmed for a Thai beverage company, the CF has received some negative remarks online.

The controversy in the advertisement is during a segment where Nichkhun appears to be dancing in front of a 'Rising Sun' Imperial Japanese war flag.

The 'Rising Sun' flag is the military war flag of Japan, and was "heavily used during the colonization of East Asia in the first-half of the 20th century, it is seen offensive to countries that were under control of Japan at that time, especially because of the war crimes that were committed." The 'Rising Sun' flag is one that is considered extremely taboo in both China & Korea.

As a Hallyu star representing Korea, the image of Nichkhun dancing in front of what looked like a Rising Sun flag came across as inappropriate and offensive to some viewers.

But this wasn't intentional as the concept for the video was completely different. The concept wanted to show that Nichkhun was a proud Thai individual that performed on stages all over Asia including Japan. Ahead of this controversial scene, Nichkhun dances in front of the ancient palace in Seoul.

Nichkhun's representatives explained that when they decided to cast Nichkhun for the CF they did not see any problems in the script. At the time the CF was filmed, the background where the flag was used was actually white and the flag graphics were later added in by the production crew in post production.

During a phone conversation with TVDaily on February 21st, 2PM's agency JYP Entertainment stated, "The problematic Thai health drink CF was one Nichkhun filmed with some of the local celebrities in Thailand and at the timing of the filming, there were no Rising Sun flags on set."

They continued, "The video was shot on an open stage, and the staff members were discussing what kind of graphics to add, and the LED was included later along with the Rising Sun flag. We did not follow up with the production of this video until it was finished. We were careless, and we apologize."

[News] Block B's Controversial Behaviour in Thailand Outrages 2PM Members

Recently Block B had an interview on a television show in Thailand.

In the interview, Block B showed a careless attitude during the interval of questions, in which you can see the members playing and goofing around and even laying down over the table during the televisive interview. The situation got worse when the interviewer asked their thoughts about the recent flood going on in Thailand. Member and leader Zico answered, "I know about it. I was pretending I didn't but I do."

Then, they said, "We wish Thai people would heal the damage in their hearts through financial donations, and all we have is money" while another member claimed, "How about 7000 won?" (6.00 USD) and then they all laughed.

The controversy of their comments rely in the fact that members were actually making too much fun of the situation by saying that they could only help with 6 dollars and they were being disrespectful and rude about the situation pretending they didn't know anything. These comments made Thailand people upset and offended.

And also it started an outrage over 2PM members who expressed their feelings on the situation. As some of you may know, Thailand is like a second home for 2PM members since Nichkhun is originally from Thailand. He expressed on his Twitter account, "As a Thai person I feel offended by those who speak about the Thailand floods without thinking. Also instead of coming to Thailand and acting mindlessly, please respect the country’s manners, and only act in a proper way."

Not just Nichkhun tweeted about the incident, but also fellow members Junho and Chansung and also Tiger JK. Junho wrote, " I won’t say who it is but those actions and that attitude are embarrassing. As a fellow Korean, I wish they would learn that one bad action doesn’t affect just themselves but also affect those around them. It’s something I’m saying as a person and a sunbae," while Chansung said, "Even when you try to avoid these kind of situations and you may seem like having a careless attitude which happens inevitably, if you don’t pay attention to others and hurt them and act like there’s no one as great as you that is careless. This is beyond a mistake and just proves that you’re that type of person. Have some shame."

Tiger JK expressed his support towards Nichkhun's tweet by saying, "Not everybody like that bro. Keep speaking that truth tho!" Fans also expressed their feelings towards this situation, recalling Zico's attitude as, "Irresponsible," "they forgot how to act in an interview" and "where's their professionalism?" This incident has definitely arisen some hot topics again over Block B's capability to handle or being involved in controversies.

After the incident, all the members expressed individually their apologies on the group's daum cafe. Zico wrote, "I am deeply sorry for what our bad behaviour caused in Thailand due to the flood going on. Despite of being an adult, I feel sorry of my actions, I was ridiculous and ignorant. There's no excuse that can grant me forgiveness. I am deeply sorry once again."

Jaehyo expressed his apology saying, "I feel sorry and I deeply apologize bending my head down. I am so sorry for the citizens in Thailand. And I feel sorry for the Koreans, for having dishonored the image of our country. As the hyung and older man of the group, I didn't act properly and assumed the responsibility for what was going on. I feel embarrased of myself and I'm gonna reflect for what we caused with this offense."

Also, members Taeil and Kyung wrote their apology stating that, "they should be in charge of the younger members instead of not paying attention," and also that, "we were extremely careless, we feel sorry and we deeply apologize for this incident. Our playful personality wasn't appropiate this time."

What do you think about this whole situation?
