Today is 2PM member, Wooyoung‘s birthday!
On April 30, Wooyoung celebrated his birthday and uploaded a couple of photos onto his Twitter. ”Thank you Thank you Thank you ^^ to all those, who congratulated my birthday“, he tweeted.
It seems like yesterday, when 2PM made their debut in 2008 with their first track, “10 out of 10“. Time sure flies, doesn’t it?
It looks like Wooyoung got treated with lots of goodies, as he blew out candles from a fruit cake and…. a HamChoco (Hamburger + Choco Pie) cake?
Fans and Followers congratulated him with, “Wow your birthday cake looks delicious“, “Happy Birthday“, and “Ah~ So cute <3“.

[News] JYP Entertainment’s single eyelid stars gain attention
For those familiar with K-pop and beauty standards in Asian countries, you know that double eyelids are one of the most obsessed about factors in one’s appearance. However, JYP Entertainment‘s single eyelid stars have recently been gaining attention as examples of celebrities who have no problems shining even without the coveted double eyelids.
On April 25th, an online community post titled, “JYP stars with single eyelid (monolid)” surfaced with the above photo.
The post features four highly prominent stars that are part of the JYPE lineup, which include Jinwoon of 2AM, Wooyoung of 2PM, Sohee of Wonder Girls, and J.Y. Park himself. Considering that these stars command a great deal of popularity inside and outside of Korea, it seems that the double eyelid infatuation may not be so prominent after all, at least in the world of JYP Entertainment.
Netizens who viewed the post commented, “I actually think single eyelid stars have unique attraction” , “I never knew J.Y. Park didn’t have double eyelids” and, “Don’t ever get double eyelid surgery!”

[News] Which Male Idol Stars Would You Select as Members of F4?
On April 24, MBC Music’s “Show Champion” reported on the male idol industry’s F4** as chosen by female college students. Big Bang’s TOP, CNBlue’s Jung Yong Hwa, 2PM’s Wooyoung, and SHINee’s Taemin took the title. The F4 were separated into four categories: sexy charisma-dol, soft gentleman-dol, cheerful jolly-dol, and adorable younger-dol.
Ultimate beastly idol Taecyeon (2PM) and singer actor Choi Si Won (Super Junior) put up a good fight for the tile of sexy charisma-dol, but TOP won for his great looks and sexy, husky voice. Shindong (Super Junior) was also in contention for the title of cheerful jolly-dol. Howeving, during an interview, one female college student stated, “Shindong has a girlfriend, so pass,” to which he humorously replied, “Fine, I’ll pass on you too.”
**F4 (flower four) was a term coined in popular series “Boys over Flowers” (Lee Min Ho, Kim Hyun Joong, Kim Bum, and Kim Joon starred in the Korean drama version) to describe the four most popular and handsome boys in school.

[Twitter] 2PM’s Junho hops on the K-Pop diet bandwagon
2PM member Junho revealed his own diet plans.
On April 23rd, Junho shared the photo above (right) via his official Twitter page and wrote, “My daily meal. I may soon become nothing but a skeleton. This is even more difficult for me because I am big boned.”
Junho’s small meal consisted of cabbage, sweet potato, and chicken breast- foods that are low in calories. Netizens who saw his photo showed their concern saying, “You don’t need to lose any weight,” as well as “That’s such a meager meal,” and “You will seriously become nothing but skin and bones.”
As the warm weather approaches, many celebrities including Junho are working to drop a few more pounds. J.Y. Park recently revealed his own diet plan consisting of fruit and nuts, while comedienne Kim Shin Young also drew attention for dropping 35 pounds, eating low-calorie foods including vegetables and fruit.

[News] Nell appreciates 2PM Taecyeon's and Kang Ji Young's support of their album
Nell reveals their good feelings towards 2PM‘s Taecyeon and KARA‘s Kang Ji Young, who recently showed their support of the band by making mention of Nell’s latest album.
Appearing on the April 20th episode of KBS 2TV‘s ‘Yoo Hee Yeol‘s Sketchbook,’ Nell shared their story of coming back and releasing their new album after 4 years.
MC Yoo Hee Yeol asked, “Taecyeon and Kang Ji Young said they were hooked on Nell’s album. Did you know that?” The Nell members responded, “We know.” Nell’s Jung Jae Won added, “I don’t often use the internet, but I saw. I feel good.“
On this day, Yoo Hee Yeol also randomly popped in a question about Yuri. A taken aback Jung Jae Won answered, “Sung Yuri?” while vocalist Kim Jong Wan hinted, “SNSD Yuri,” causing everyone to laugh.
Meanwhile, immediately after Nell released their 5th album ‘Slip Away,’ Kang Ji Young posted on her personal Twitter, “Nell sunbaes’ album finally came out! Assa!“

[News] Kim So Eun Picks 2PM’s Nichkhun over Junho as Favorite Idol Star
Kim So Eun picked 2PM's Nichkhun as her favorite idol star, disappointing many fans that were hoping for her MBC "Music & Lyrics" relationship with Junho to happen in real life.
On April 20, during the press conference for JTBC's new drama, "Happy Ending," Kim So Eun was asked, "Who's your favorite idol star?" Since she created many sweet moments with 2PM's Junho in MBC "Music & Lyrics" as a couple until just recently, fans were expecting her to mention Junho's name.
However, Kim So Eun surprisingly responded, "I like 2PM's Nichkhun." Her explanation for picking Nichkhun over Junho has not been reported yet, but it definitely brought down the hopes of many Kim So Eun-Junho fans.
Netizens commented, "Was she just flirting with Junho?" "Nichkhun is mine, don't even try Kim So Eun," and "Both guys are just too hot."

[News] J.Y. Park reveals more details on his solo album
Earlier this week, we reported that J.Y. Park would soon be making his solo singer comeback.
On April 19th, J.Y. Park revealed more details on his album through his me2day. He stated,
"Wonder Girls' US album is finished and their Korean album title track has been unanimously passed! It's been hard waiting for 2PM's upcoming album in the fall huh? I've prepared a surprise present for the summer~ ^^ Now that I've finished work for the first half of the year, I'll be spending one month with my lovely fans~?
Everyone, I will be returning as a singer after 2 years. The album is called, 'Spring. Five Songs I'm Sending to a New Love'. At midnight on April 22nd, I'll be releasing my duet song with a female singer, 'Someone Else'. At midnight on the 29th, I'll be releasing a love story about a flashy-looking male celebrity and a normal girl, 'You're the One'. I'm so nervous… hehe."
These posts contained news that excited both the Wonder Girls and 2PM fans, as well as fans of J.Y. Park. Although he's been busy with various activities, including his movie '5 Million Dollar Man' and 'K-Pop Star', it looks like J.Y. Park's portable studio helped him keep on top of producing music as well.

[News] Park Jin Young Hints at 2PM’s New Album and Gives Update on His Upcoming Single
On April 19, Park Jin Young (JYP) gave an update on his new single and also hinted at a possible 2PM album sometime in the summer.
Through his personal Twitter page, JYP wrote in English, “After finishing Wonder Girls US album, finally finished the Wonder Girls Korean 1st single! Also a quick surprise for 2PM fans this summer~!”
He continued, “Now back to artist mode. For my personal fans, releasing my duet song ‘Someone Else’ 22nd 0am and my 1st single ‘You’re the One’ 29th 0am!”
He didn’t further elaborate on his tweet, leaving many fans asking for more details. But he did mention in a separate tweet, which was written in Korean, that 2PM has prepared a surprise gift this summer prior to their new album release in the fall.
We’re not sure what exactly JYP and 2PM has in stock for us, but be sure to check back for more updates!

[News] 2PM Taecyeon Gets an A+ in Flirting
2PM's Taecyeon made it to 9gag.com, the U.S.-based popular comedy website, for his "flirting skills." On April 15, Taecyeon alerted his fans by retweeting the link to his picture on 9gag, saying, "HOLY CRAP! Me on 9GAG LOL RT."
In the photo, Taecyeon is seen making a move on a female student sitting next to him, in what looks to be his college classroom. It looks like he said something funny, as the two girls next to him are giggling in amusement. 9gag aptly titled the moment, "Flirting level: A+," and came up with quotes that said, "Hey girl, what's your sine? It must be pi/2 because you are the 1."
However, the joke didn't come across as clear enough to most of the viewers as many comments expressed their confusion over the formula. In order to make sense, some claimed it should be written "arcsine" instead of "sine," but most of the fans just seemed more interested in finding out who Taecyeon was.
Netizens commented, "I don't get it," "The girl is just happy because a K-Pop artist talked to her," and "I smell racism here."

[News] 2PM and 2AM visit Japan together and gather 1,500 fans
Japan was excited by the arrival of two "brother groups," 2PM and 2AM.
Six member group 2PM and four member group 2AM arrived at Tokyo International Airport on April 10 at 2:50 p.m. This is the first time that 2PM and 2AM visited Japan on the same day, in the same flight.
According to the Japanese media, Sankei Sports, 1,500 local fans gathered up at the airport to welcome their arrival. 2PM's Taec Yeon greeted in Japanese, "Thank you all for coming."
2AM's Jo Kwon excited the fans by revealing that the documentary movie, Beyond The Oneday, which ten members of 2AM and 2PM appear, will premiere in Japan on June 30. This documentary movie has been directed by Japan's Omichi Shoichi Dok.
2AM revealed their second Japanese single, "You Wouldn't Answer My Calls" on April 11.

2PM's Taecyeon and Kara's Kang Ji Young showed their excitement over the release of modern rock band Nell's comeback track, "The Day Before."
On April 10, Taecyeon tweeted, "Nell sunbae nim made their comeback. The song is awesome. I heard it's raining in Korea, but I think the song will sound even better on a rainy day."
Kara's Kang Ji Young echoed his sentiment by tweeting, "Nell sunbae nim's album is finally out! Yesss!"
Nell made their return in nearly four years on April 10 by releasing the music video for "The Day Before," the title track from their fifth album. The song is a classic Nell track, featuring guitar and piano sounds, as well as the unique vocals of Kim Jong Wan.

Behind-the-scene cuts of the "Milky Couple", 2PM's Wooyoung and singer IU, kiss scene have been revealed.
The photos above were posted on an online community board with the title 'Wooyoung and IU kiss scene NG cuts' and have been gaining a lot of attention from netizens. The photos revealed were behind-the-scene cuts from KBS's 'Dream High 1' that aired back in 2011.
During the beginning of the drama, IU had a crush on Wooyoung and later on their love line in the series gained a lot of momentum from fans. In the photos the 'Milky Couple' (Woo from Wooyoung and U from IU – Woo-U stands for milk in Korean) seem to be showing a lot of affection as they are lovingly looking at each other. IU seems to be trying hard not to laugh by closing her lips hard as Wooyoung is slowly approaching her. Netizens found the cuts very cute as both seem to be extremely shy!
After viewing these photos, netizens commented, "Those two are just too cute", "They are so cute together! Milky couple is the best!", "The photos make my heart pound, I'm the one feeling nervous!".
