[News] After School’s UEE and 2PM’s Taecyeon to possibly star in drama ‘Jeon Woo Chi’?
After School‘s UEE and 2PM‘s Taecyeon may star in the upcoming KBS drama ‘Jeon Woo Chi‘.
On the 30th, several insiders reported that the two idols were likely candidates for the new drama. UEE, who has played supporting roles in dramas such as ‘You are Beautiful‘, ‘Birdy Buddy‘, and ‘Ojakgyo Brothers’, will possibly be playing the lead this time around. Taecyeon also has experience acting in the hit dramas ‘Cinderella’s Sister‘ and ‘Dream High‘.
Pledis Entertainment commented, “It’s true that an offer has come in, but nothing’s been confirmed. We’re currently considering the project.”
Taecyeon’s agency JYP Entertainment stated, “…It’d be difficult for him to star in the drama at the moment. Reports saying that he’s been cast in ‘Jeon Woo Chi’ are false.”
‘Jeon Woo Chi’ is the story of a monk who travels to Joseon in pursuit of revenge and stays to become a hero. The drama is set to air in November as the follow-up project to ‘Nice Guy‘.

[News] 2PM Nichkhun to pay 4 million KRW ($3,500) in fine
Due to his recent DUI charge, 2PM‘s Nichkhun will be paying a 4 million KRW fine (~ 3,524 USD).
The statement was released on August 30th by the Seoul Supreme Prosecutor’s Office: “Nichkhun already reached a settlement with the other party. There were no serious injuries, and his blood alcohol level was low, so the case was settled with a summary judgement (settled by a judge with no jury involved). There were no further investigations.”
Nichkhun was charged with driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level of 0.056% on July 24th after a small accident occurred on his way home.

[News] 2PM Nichkhun will be edited out for the upcoming Shinhwa vs. 2PM special on ‘God of Victory’
On the upcoming episode of MBC‘s ‘God of Victory‘ featuring an intense battle between first generation idol group Shinhwa and beastly idol group 2PM, it has been confirmed that the scenes featuring Nichkhun will be edited out.
On the 27th, the PD of the show confirmed, “On the September 2nd episode of ‘God of Victory’ featuring Shinhwa and 2PM, we will try to edit out Nichkhun’s parts as much as possible. We will try to edit [Nichkhun] as much as possible to prevent any interruption of the program’s momentum.”
This episode was recorded a few months ago back on May, prior to Nichkhun’s DUI accident on July 24th. On this special episode to be aired on September 2nd, the two respective groups will be competing against each other for ten fierce rounds of competitive games.

[News] 2PM’s Nichkhun might be summoned for further questioning
On August 26th, the Seoul Central District Court announced that they are considering summoning 2PM‘s Nichkhun for further questioning on his recent DUI accident.
A representative of the police revealed, “After investigations, we decided that there wasn’t enough information on the exact situation of the damage and the injuries received by the victim, making further investigation necessary. We will first speak with the victim again before we decide whether Nichkhun should be summoned in for further questioning.”
As previously reported, Nichkhun was involved in a car accident while driving under the influence back on July 24th. The victim, a motorcyclist, reported injuries on his shoulders and back. Nichkhun’s blood alcohol content clocked in at 0.056%, which was grounds for a temporary suspension of his driver’s license.

[News] 2PM delays September comeback
Fans of 2PM will unfortunately have to wait a bit longer for the group’s comeback.
2PM previously mentioned news of a September comeback. However, due to the recent controversy surrounding member Nichkhun, 2PM had to stand on stage as a five-member group during the ‘JYP Nation‘ concerts and also had to juggle changes to their comeback date. Nichkhun halted his activities to take some time to reflect on himself before returning to his fans and the public. A fixed comeback date has not been decided as of yet.
A representative of JYP Entertainment revealed, “Nichkhun is still taking the time to reflect on himself at the dorm. He has feelings of deep regret and is self-reflecting on his actions.”

[Twitter] 2PM Chansung's "animal-idol" image
On August 21, 2PM’s Chansung shared a topless photo of himself on Twitter, reaffirming his “animal-idol” image.
In the photo, Chansung is seen wearing only sweat pants, staring into the camera with his trademark “dreamy” eyes. Alongside the photo, Chansung wrote, “Good night everybody. Actually, this isn’t a ‘Men’s Health’ photo shoot. Anyways, I’m going to bed. Good night.”
We’re not sure where the photo originally came from, but the lights and setting almost feel like a Polaroid picture. Chansung, in the photo, seems to have lost some weight as the mass around his arms and chest area look smaller than the past.
Netizens commented, “OMG!” “He owns the perfect bodyline,” and “Chansung, you can own me.”
Meanwhile, JYP Entertainment’s family concert, “JYP Nation,” was held in Japan for two days on August 18 and 19 at the Yoyogi Arena. More than 36,000 fans came to the three concerts which featured some of the top JYP Entertainment artists.

[Twitter] 2AM & 2PM ‘One Day’ members reveal their close friendship through selcas
2AM‘s Jo Kwon recently revealed his close friendship with his fellow members and label mates including Junho and Wooyoung from 2PM.
Jo Kwon recently shared on his Twitter, “Just ate and we’re now relaxing… Kwon Udong”, along with a photo taken with Wooyoung who is widely known for his “udong” cheeks.
The selcas also show Jo Kwon and the other 2AM members smiling at the camera with comical expressions showing their playful side during rehearsal. Jo Kwon also shared a more serious, yet adorable selca taken with 2PM’s Junho.
Upon seeing the photos, fans commented, “All of the JYP artists seem so close”, “Jo Kwon is the atmosphere maker for whichever group he’s with”, and “2PM’s Junho is handsome even while just calmly looking at the camera.”

[News] JYP Nation captivates 36,000 fans for their ‘JYP Nation in Japan 2012′ concert
On August 18th and 19th, the JYP Nation family brought the house down in Japan with their ‘JYP Nation in Japan 2012‘ concert at the Yoyogi Stadium!
The company put on a total of three concerts over the course of two days and brought in 36,000 fans in the seats all hoping to see performances by the company’s leading acts like J.Y. Park, the Wonder Girls, 2PM, 2AM, miss A, JOO, San E, and JJ Project.
All 35,000 seats had sold out within the first 10 seconds of the tickets going on sale, so it’s no wonder the stadium was jam packed and brimming with cheers from fans in every which way.
miss A opened up the concert with a string of their hits, completely captivating the audience from the get go with their powerful and sexy performances. The Wonder Girls followed after with perfect live performances before transitioning into the next acts with their fluent Japanese.
JJ Project and San E elevated the atmosphere with their hiptronica tracks while 2AM showed perfect harmony, completely filling the stadium with their soulful voices.
The concert reached its height with the arrival of 2PM on the stage, as they went on to perform their hit Japanese tracks like “Beautiful” and “Kimi ga Ireba“. JYP Nation’s leader J.Y. Park wrapped up the solo stages with a charisma all his own, proving once again why he’s Asia’s greatest producer and dance singer.
That wasn’t the end there, though, as Jo Kwon and JOO then teamed up to perform a self-composed song by Junsu titled “Hanarete Itemo” while Taecyeon and Yenny performed “After You Left Me” as a duet.
J.Y. Park, Changmin, Taecyeon, and Junho covered the Wonder Girls’ “Be My Baby” while Chansung, Wooyoung, Seulong, and JB showed off their masculine sides with “Bad Boy Good Boy“.
Everyone in the audience sang along in Korean for the entire three hour long concert!
JYP Entertainment stated, “All of the artists of JYP Entertainment would like to send their utmost gratification at the love and support sent by their fans at the Japanese JYP Nation concert. It was a blissful time for all of the artists to be gathered together, and definitely a meaningful one for them to have met with 36,000 fans. We would like to thank everyone once again.”
The artists will be returning to Korea on the 20th.

[News] ‘Section TV’ airs interview with J.Y. Park, Suzy, Wooyoung, & Taecyeon on the set of upcoming Reebok CF
Reebok has teamed up with J.Y. Park and his JYPE artists miss A‘s Suzy and 2PM‘s Wooyoung and Taecyeon for their ‘Classic’ campaign. The four and Reebok will be unveiling a drama-like CF, and ahead of its reveal, ‘Section TV Entertainment News‘ took a visit to the set to conduct an entertaining interview.
Apparently the CF will revolve around a story line of J.Y. Park protesting the love between Suzy and Wooyoung, and the idols are seen working hard to portray the emotions of their characters.
After a sneak peek at some of the upcoming scenes, the four sat down for an entertaining interview that began with J.Y. Park referring to the four of them as “acting-idols”, to which Taecyeon protested, “Hyung, I don’t know if you can call yourself an idol..” J.Y. Park fired back that he was once an idol too.
The topic then switched to the recent ‘JYP Nation‘ concert that was held and Suzy was asked about performing 2PM’s “Again and Again” during one of the special performances. Suzy started to answer the question but seemed to lose her train of thought as she ended on an unsure note, prompting J.Y. Park to comment, “Wow, we are so bad at interviews.. Other agencies are much funner than us, right?” putting reporter Son Jin Young on the spot.
Other various topics such as related search terms were brought up, and it was revealed that Taecyeon had sent in some of his incomplete works as a composer to the agency, but they had all been rejected recently. However, J.Y. Park revealed his confidence in Taecyeon, complimenting his “musical sense”. Suzy then brought laughter as she revealed that the features of her face she was most proud of were the whites of her eyes. She confidently stated, “The whites of my eyes are very clean looking.”

Wonder Girls Yubin and Sun Ye posed with 2PM‘s Taecyeon for the new issue of Cosmopolitan Magazine.
The trio took the pose for an elegant and glamour “Night Time” photospread, flaunting luxurious brand Gucci‘s flag bags in a dazzling VIP after-party setting.
Taecyeon is dressed in a dark velvet suit with flower prints in one picture, and a black suit in the second, showcasing his elegant and masculine charms as a player.
