Watermelon Oreos

Watermelon Oreos, Oreo has unveiled its latest attempt to sabotage your beach bod while satiating your summer sweet tooth– the watermelon Oreo.

Red and green watermelon-flavored creme is sandwiched between two Golden Oreo cookies in the new creation. The cookies hit U.S. Targets’ shelves June 10 and are available while supplies last.

Notably (but not surprisingly), the watermelon Oreo does not contain real watermelon. Despite its stats– two watermelon Oreo cookies pack 150 calories, 12 grams of sugar, 7 grams of fat and artificial coloring– the watermelon Oreo is getting positive reviews around the web.

Blogger Junk Food Guy puts it like this: “So why eat something that says watermelon but contains NO watermelon?  Because I make poor life decisions.”

But really, the cookies sound quite delicious. According to Junk Food Guy, the watermelon Oreo is comparable to light and refreshing creamy watermelon ice cream with the Golden Oreo cookies adding a buttery sweetness.

The cookies are $3.00 on sale for about 30 cookies per package.
