2PM's Chansung will star in the upcoming Korean-Chinese movie 'I Wanna Hold Your Hand'!

JYP Entertainment stated on July 31, "Chansung will make a special starring as Ji Oh in the JYP Pictures and China Oriental Performing Arts Group collaborative film 'I Wanna Hold Your Hand'. [Chansung] has decided to show his support for labelmate actor Wei Da Xun who will play the lead role."

'I Wanna Hold Your Hand' is a teenage movie about self-discovery. Chansung will incorporate his real-life role as the maknae of 2PM into his role as Ji Oh, who is the maknae of idol group Stars. The movie is set to premiere in China later this year.

[News] 2PM to Make a Comeback in September?

Will 2PM making a comeback this year? It seems likely.

JYP Entertainment artists 2AM, 2PM, miss A, Sunmi, Baek Ahyeon, 15&, GOT7, HA:TFELT, and J.Y. Park (Park Jinyoung) will be coming together as JYP Nation this August for their family concert, “ONE MIC.”

In commemoration of their upcoming concerts, 2AM’s Jokwon, 2PM’s Wooyoung, miss A, 15&, Sunmi and GOT7 participated in a special interview event streamed via Naver’s Star Cast Online on July 28th.

During the interview, the host asked Wooyoung when fans could anticipate 2PM’s comeback, to which he replied, “September. Is that answer okay?”

News of this segment has spread among fans, and anticipation for their September comeback has risen.

JYP Nation will start their Asia concert tour “ONE MIC” in Seoul, Korea on August 9th and 10th at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium, then will move towards Hong Kong on August 30th at the Asia World Arena. They will then perform in Tokyo, Japan at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium for three days on September 5th, 6th, and 7th.

GOT7 will make their Japanese debut this October!

Japanese media outlet Nikkan Sports broke the news of GOT7's Japanese debut which has been confirmed by JYP Entertainment! GOT7 will release their Japanese debut single album with a title track by producer Han Mi Il this October. 2PM's Jun.K also composed, wrote, and produced "SO LUCKY" for his labelmates' debut single album.

They will make their debut even more exciting with their tour 'GOT7 1st Japan Tour 2014 TOUR' which will kick off in October with a finale concert featuring special guest Jun.K!

[News] 2PM’s Wooyoung and Park Se Young Wish to Be Together in the Future on “We Got Married”

On the July 26 broadcast of the MBC variety program “We Got Married,” on-screen couple 2PM’s Wooyoung and Park Se Young were shown going on a hike on the Cheonggye Mountain. On their way to the mineral spring, the on-screen husband and wife saw the wish tower and decided to make wishes.

During the interview with the producer, Wooyoung revealed his wish. “I wished to be happy with Se Young even in the future,” said Wooyoung.

After, Se Young also shared her rather detailed wish. “I wished for us to meet again in 20 years and drink from the mineral spring at the wish tower.”

The couple of 2PM’s Wooyoung and Park Se Young have gained interest for their similar wishes to be together even in the future.

After watching Park Se Young and Lee Sang Woo go on a hiking date on 'Good Day' ('Glorious Day'), 2PM's Wooyoung decided to also go hiking with Park Se Young on 'We Got Married'!

Wooyoung and Park Se Young kept hiking to reach the mineral spring, but the first fountain they reached wasn't working and when they reached the second fountain, they found out that they couldn't drink from it. But they promised each other to come back and drink from one of those fountains next time. Wooyoung wished, "I wished that Se Young and I will continue to be happy." Park Se Young wished, "I wished that we could return here 20 years later and drink the mineral water."

Wooyoung also asked Park Se Young to choose between him and her co-star Lee Sang Woo. Park Se Young replied, "That's not right because Lee Sang Woo sunbaenim is Seo Jae Woo the character." Wooyoung asked, "Then what is Wooyoung [to you]?" Park Se Young answered with aegyo, "Wooyoung is my Wooyoung... Deep inside my heart, I don't need to think about it. Wooyoung, it's you, not Seo Jae Woo. Deep inside my heart, I have no one besides Wooyoung", making him happy.

[News] 56 Celebrities Including 2PM, Bae Yong Jun, SNSD and Super Junior Lose Publicity Case Against Portal Sites

56 celebrities took group action against portal sites for violating their publicity rights, but the court ruled against them.

On July 24, the Seoul Western District Court ruled in favor of SK Communications, which owns the portal site Nate, in a publicity case filed by 56 celebrities.

The 56 celebrities include Kim Nam Gil and Bae Yong Jun, and the members of Girls' Generation (SNSD), Super Junior, f(x), 2PM and miss A.

The celebrities took issue with how portal sites did not stop online shopping mall owners from using their names to sell their products.

Some shopping mall owners had taken to advertising their items as 'Bae Yong Joon glasses', 'Suzy bags' or 'SNSD t-shirts'.

The celebrities had asked for 640 million won in compensation.

The number of celebrities originally numbered 59, but actors Jang Dong Gun, Kim Soo Hyun and Soo Ae dropped out of the case before a decision was reached.

This recent ruling upholds decisions made in previous cases the 56 celebrities filed against Daum and Naver. Daum and Naver also won similar cases filed previously.

The celebrities requested a retrial on the case against Naver in February.

[News] 'Okcat' welcomes customers at national character licensing fair with appearance by CEO Taecyeon

JYP Entertainment and 2PM's Taecyeon's very own 'Okcat' welcomed customers of all ages to its booth at the character licensing fair in Seoul!

The 13th annual character licensing fair was held for five days from July 16-20, and 270 national characters showed up in the form of mascots and booths. The 'Okcat' booth seemed like a lot of fun with its various 'Okcat' products and face-painting event. Five thousand 'Okcat' balloons and 3,000 'Okcat' vinyl bags were also given out for free. The 'Okcat' CEO himself, Taecyeon, even made a surprise appearance at the booth on the afternoon of the 18th (Friday).

2PM's Junho got you to 'feel' his sweet and sexy charisma in his pictorial for 'Grazia'.

Junho made time during his busy schedule while preparing for 2PM's comeback and taking on his solo Japanese tour to show how he relaxes for the solo pictorial. Junho posed casually in loose-fitted outfits to be comfortable while resting on the bed and beside the pool.

But really, Junho does deserve some rest after achieving #1 on the Oricon Daily Album Chart with 'FEEL' as well as climbing up the ladder as an idol-turned-actor in 'Memories of the Sword', which is set to premiere later this year, and 'Twenty', which is awaiting its crank-in.

[News] Who Wore It Better: Jang Geun Suk vs. 2PM Wooyoung

Yesterday we provided some extra sweet eye candy for readers with photos of actor Jang Geun Suk from his cover spread in 'The Star' magazine.  However, his good looks weren't the only thing that caught our attention.  It has been noted that 2PM's Wooyoung previously wore the same floral and leaf printed shirt on the July 12 episode of 'We Got Married' -- the same shirt that Jang Geun Suk donned on the cover!  Let's see which fashionable star wore the style best on this 'Who Wore It Better.'

Jang Geun Suk opted for the tropical, beach-vacation look—he paired the shirt with white pants and a light rounded fedora.  Wooyoung, on the other hand, opted for a more casual look by sporting black pants and sneakers with the shirt, rocking the classic "Oh, I just threw this outfit on" vibe.

Considering Jang Geun Suk wore the shirt during a high fashion photo shoot, whereas Wooyoung wore the shirt on a skating/naengmyun date with his on-screen wife, it seems as though "Asia's Prince" had the slightest bit of an unfair advantage.

Wooyoung did pull off the look even while wearing a yellow mushroom helmet, which deserves extra props.  However, Jang Geun Suk's photo concept worked perfectly with the printed shirt, and the bubble gum just added the perfect amount of carefree summer flair to a perfect outfit.
