I can sort of see the reason for the law but surely if an animal is killed within the constraints of humane killing then it should be fair eating.

Nor shall this section be construed to interfere with the lawful killing of wildlife, or the lawful killing of any other animal under the laws of this state pertaining to game animals.Of course that law is a little ambiguous and from what I read (correct me if I am wrong) it may be legal to kill and eat your own pet?

Let’s put things straight here. The main reason I see no difference between a farm animal and a pet puppy is because I am vegan. In my world all animals are the same and should be treated with utmost respect. Ideally we wouldn’t eat any of them! That’s just my view though and I would love to hear from you about what you think.
