While restaurants have traditionally offered such specials on holidays such as Veteran’s Day and Mother’s Day, Father’s Day has finally come into its own. But there might be a hurdle to get your dad out on that day.
While people tend to spend on treating mom out on Mother’s Day, father typically hang out at home on Father’s Day. “Mother’s Day is often positioned as a splurge day, but, for some reason, children are not expected to treat their fathers on Father’s Day,” marketing consultant Tracey Riese told the newspaper. -
